Let’s celebrate this weekend!

Happy Friday Everyone!

I was speaking with Gina earlier today, and we realized that this weekend may very well be a special one for many people. Perhaps it is nearing the end of your 21-day challenge, or maybe you are considering joining the group for your very first Sunday dip. Nonetheless, even if this Sunday was set out to be an ordinary jump in the ocean for you; let’s make it memorable.

This weekend also so happens to be centered around “International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination” day and the Spring Equinox. What do these two things have in common you ask? I would like to think that the answer is the presence of light.

The Spring Equinox can symbolize (and can quite literally be) a point a balance between the darkness and the light. As the season progresses, the light will illuminate any darkness and will yield new beginnings, and promote rejuvenation for the world. Therefore, this weekend, not only can we embrace the light and feel gratitude for our everyday blessings, but we can take the time to appreciate each other, no matter what we look like on the outside. Let’s embrace our uniqueness and show our support for the elimination of racial discrimination!

Please join us on Sunday morning sporting a colored item of clothing to represent diversity! Have fun with it! This is the time to pull out some tie-dye or other vibrant items at the back of your closet and come frolic like a dolphin (sounds effects optional). I can’t wait to see you there!
